Alsace Wines complement Latin-American cooking at ProWein
Increasing German distributors' interest in wines from Alsace via a modern and innovative event.

Organising a "Wine from Alsace and Latin-American food" evening to promote the ability of Alsace wine to complement Latin-American cooking (highlighting the organoleptic properties of the wines tasted). - Pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres (Latin-American snacks).
- "Go-at-your-own-pace" wine tasting to allow guests to try a representative sample of Alsace wines.
- Dinner with Latin-American specialities prepared by Mrs Fischer's restaurant, a well-known wine waitress who was elected German Sommelier of the year in 2000.
Between each dish, Markus del Monego, World Champion Wine Waiter in 1998, presented and commented on the combinations offered.
Results
- This evening gave the eight largest wine producers in Alsace the opportunity to establish contact with seventy distributors (cellar masters and importers), six restaurant owners and eleven German journalists.
