Canada: The City of Quebec Celebrates Its 400th Birthday
Commissioned by the French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Sopexa Canada enabled French Canadians to discover France in all its diversity at the “French Pavilion” set up for the 97th edition of Expo Québec, which this year commemorated the city of Quebec’s 400th birthday. The event, which brought in more than 410,000 visitors, showcased seven marvellous regions of France - Alsace, Franche-Comté, Île de la Réunion, Îles de la Guadeloupe, Normandie, Paris Île-de-France and Provence- Alpes-Côte d’Azur – and their touristic, cultural, arts & crafts, gastronomic and wine-growing treasures. Activities included conferences, product tastings, story telling, arts and cooking workshops and more. This very special occasion, enjoyed by everyone on hand, once again celebrated the friendship and fraternity that unite France and Quebec.
